I Put Them On, To Drown You Out

I needed a place to organize my music. Everything about music: who I'm into, who I've seen, who I want to see, and who I need to get into. Music is my life, and I want to make sure that I don't miss anything.

After the shit that I went through and everything that I jeopardized because of it, I am just lucky that I didn't completely lose sight of the things that matter to me. And yeah, sure, I lost a lot of wonderful opportunities, but I am working to make that up. To me and those that matter.

Current Fave: Forever The Sickest Kids

UpComing Concerts

It was a short summer as far as concerts go, but in the fall, I have high expectations. These are the people that are coming that I would like to see. It will be edited as details become verified.

Concert List 2008

In my concert lists, I only include the people that I actually went there to see, or the people that were worth seeing there.

February
  • The Higher, Sherwood: The Higher was amazing and we got to meet Seth afterwards (After watching him with a groupie during Sherwood's set.) This was the second time that I saw Sherwood. Purely coincidence. They're amazing, but I never had the intentions of seeing them either time.
March
  • Madina Lake, Aiden: First time seeing Madina Lake and second time seeing Aiden, but first time as a fan. Both were more awesome than words. Had the chance to talk to Nathan and Matthew after the show. Then had Will sign my pack of cigarettes. He was really cool about it. <3
  • D'espairsRay and Mucc (with a hint of Bullet For My Valentine): They were great. You don't get to see an actually J-Rock band that you like that often. And both of them had a meet and greet afterwards. It was nice.
July
  • Warped Tour--From First To Last, Cobra Starship, Just Surrender, Katy Perry, Madina Lake, The Academy Is...: This was the best Warped I had gone to. I met up with some of the clubbers and then me and Jessica did what me know best and got to the front when it mattered. We got to get our posters signed by Madina Lake afterwards. It was amazing!

Past Concerts

I'm going to attempt to go back the four/five years that I have been going to concerts and try to remember everyone that I have seen in concert. I can't nearly get everyone in here, nor the amount of times that I have seen them, but I will do my best. And by no means will it be in order. And the first two concerts that I've gone to, DO NOT COUNT!

  • NERD
  • Simple Plan (x2)
  • Good Charlotte
  • Relient K (x6?)

Autograph Collection

I say that I am not one for autographs, but because of how everyone else acts, you feel as though you have to follow the crowd just so that you can meet the people that you respect so much. Sometimes, I could be the biggest inside groupie that there is. So for the record, I am not going to say that I am not star-struck. That meeting these people are like meeting anyone else. But also for the record, I do not cry, or hyperventilate about seeing slash meeting these people. That part comes later. ;)

So here is a list of the autographs that I currently have in my possession.

Pharrell William: Hat signed in summer of 2004 after an NERD concert.
Fall Out Boy: Release the Bats DVD signed at a meet and greet at Warped 2005.
Panic at the Disco's Ryan Ross and Brendon Urie: A Fever You Can't Sweat Out Cd after the Nintendo Fusion Tour Concert with FOB in October 2005.
Relient K's Matthew Thiessen: Ticket Stub after the Nintendo Fusion Tour October 2006.
The Higher's Seth and a couple others (>.<): On the back of one of their stickers after their concert in February 2008.
Aiden's Will: On an empty pack of Cigarettes at their show with Madina Lake in March 2008.
D'espairsRay: Poster at the Taste of Chaos Tour March 2008.
